Nudist

I swear, I'm raising a nudist. We go through huge fits several times a day in order to put clothes on. It reminds me of her at a much younger age, but then she wasn't so strong and had a much harder time escaping. Today was one of the days when I wasn't so sure getting dressed was worth the fight. After her bath this morning, Adia spent most of the day in nothing but a diaper. She prefers to curl up on the couch or in my lap, wrapped in a cozy blanket and pressed as tight against me as possible. That's how she napped today. She snuggled up tight, wrapped in a blanket from her newborn days and fell fast asleep. It was a good 2 hour nap and I so wish I could have taken a picture. She looked just like a newborn. So sweet and peaceful, nothing like the mischievous toddler I know and love.

I did manage to put a shirt on her this afternoon, but that was all. No pants. At least we weren't planning on leaving the house. After Daddy got up this afternoon, he asked her if she needed a diaper change. It was very obvious that she was rather wet. "No!" she yelled as she scurried into her fort. Just a couple minutes later we hear, "I did it" and out comes a wet diaper, flung in Daddy's direction. I admit, I had to laugh. It was just too funny. After Daddy realized what had happened, out came a streaking toddler too, running in the direction of her bedroom. When she returned, still bottomless, she was holding an entire package of pull ups.

Now she's in a tub after dinner. We'll have another fight trying to get her pjs on. I can usually manage to get them on her, just before she's decided she wants to head to bed. Somedays, I don't succeed and there have been nights she's slept naked.

Oh, and she's started saying her own name rather regularly. It makes me laugh to hear it over and over again coming from her. She also points to the photos on the wall and says, "That Adia!" I'll ask her who's Adia and she says, "Me!" It's so cute.

She's too cute! My little brother was a nudist, too. :)

My three year old daughter hates wearing clothes too. I know exactly what you are going through.

Congratulations on your pregnancy!

I just found your blog and love it! I'm looking forward to reading more.
