We went to DiDi's for the weekend so DiDi and I could go to a 60s folk music concert while Adia spent time with Gramma. DiDi happened to hand Adia a couple sheets of free stickers she got in the mail. Adia loves stickers and DiDi made the mistake of telling her she could put some on the play structure. I got out of my shower to find this:
I laughed so hard and asked Adia, "What are you doing?" Adia replied, "Sticker slide?" She still says sticker slide when she sees the pictures. DiDi wasn't mad, she started laughing too and said it could have been a lot worse, say all over the wall. You just have to be careful what you tell Adia because she understands everything.
We dropped Adia off with Gramma and went to the concert. It was awesome and Adia had a great time too. She ended up falling asleep next to Gramma and the cat napped with her. Adia and Waffles are very good friends. We arrived later with dinner and Adia enjoyed some more Papa time. She wasn't happy when it was time to leave and head back to Eugene. She was actually awake most of the ride too. At one point she said, "Mommy, it dark. Me scared." You'd think it would be easier to drive at night with her, but it's actually much worse because she's scared of the dark. Someone had to ride in the back with her (usually only Mommy with do) and hold her hand so she can sleep.
She did eventually fall asleep, but woke up while I was trying to lay her down. She was shocked to be home and have Daddy again. I did my late night puke session, with a worried Adia. Then we went to bed.
We went out to breakfast with DiDi and Daddy yesterday morning. It was nice, but Adia was insanely hyper. In the afternoon we left Adia with DiDi and Daddy and I went to a movie. That was nice and Adia didn't even complain when we left. She's finally realizing we always come back. Adia was super cranky when we got back and Daddy went to sleep. DiDi and I took Adia to the grocery store, hoping she'd fall asleep in the car. She didn't, but that meant she was able to eat dinner before sleeping. DiDi and her had hamburgers from Wendy's and when Adia finished hers, she asked for more. Too bad we only had the one. She said bye to DiDi and DiDi went back home. Adia and I had a nice evening and she crashed around 8:30. Daddy got up not long after that so I could lay Adia down in bed. I was ready for bed around 11 and laughed so hard when I saw Adia. She was completely sprawled across the bed with no room for me. I just had to take a picture. It was too funny. I moved her over and she slightly woke up and said, "Hi mommy. Kiss." She's such a silly girl.
And a 12 week picture for you. I actually felt one of the babies kick me while we were at the movies. So weird to feel them so early. I can't wait until Adia gets kicked for the first time.
