We took the girls to the park on Sunday. Two adults and 3 girls make time at the park interesting. Lexi had finally realized you need to sit before going down the slide, so that helps. Adia has decided she wants to do everything Tanae does though and most of the stuff she's not quite old enough for.
Heather picked up her girls Sunday evening. Adia was really sad to see them go. She spent most of the evening walking around the house saying, "Nae? Lexi? Baby?" It was sad. She even climbed in Tanae's bed, pulled back the covers and said, "Nae?"
We went for a walk after they left. It started sprinkling and we got pretty damp. Adia wouldn't stay in the stroller. After dinner, DiDi introduced Adia to the new bath toy. DiDi bought a new boat which Tanae wasn't too interested in, but Adia loves. She even let Adia bring it home with her.
Adia and I read books after her bath and watched the olympics. She's really good at saying "Bus" and "school bus", but I didn't have much luck getting her to say it on camera.
She also tried some gymnastics on the slide.
DiDi drove us home on Monday morning. It took over a hour to get her carseat in the car. I hate the Cosco Scerena car seat! It's a pain in the ass to install rear facing. We finally got it installed so it wouldn't move and headed to Eugene. Adia was super happy to see Scott. We ended up leaving her with DiDi so we could see a movie. When we came home, she only wanted Daddy. She bi-passed me in the door to get to him. Adia slept 11 hours last night. I was amazed. She did attempt to get up at 6:30am, but I persuaded her to go back to sleep.
Now Gamma's here and we're headed to lunch. Adia was happy to see her too.
