On Saturday Adia was particularly mischievous. She did sleep 10 straight hours in her crib though. (I went to bed right after she did at 9pm! It was heaven.) She kept going for the tree and would get really upset if I moved her away. Eventually I sidetracked her with raspberry blowing. Every time I did it, she would respond. I was even able to get it on video. She started to attack though so the video is a little bumpy.

Saturday evening we headed back to the coast. Adia got to see Tanae. She was out cold when Tanae got in the car, but Tanae was really excited to see Adia. She kept trying to wake her up, but didn't have any luck until we got back to DiDi's house. Adia and Tanae played briefly and then ate dinner. They were both starving because it was lots later than normal. Bath time was interesting. Adia got her bath first, but once I she was washed off, I plunked Tanae in too. Adia was cool with it at first, but she always gets a little worried. Adia got out and DiDi had fun washing Tanae's hair. After bath time, it was more playtime. They had a blast in the living room. Adia found the walker and once we slowed it down enough, she was using it to walk from one end of the living room to the other. It's now her favorite toy. Tanae wanted to play too so she sat in it. (Tanae uses it as a stroller for her dolls) I helped push for awhile, but it was getting late and we were all tired.

Sunday was Gamma and Gampa G's Christmas party. It was the reason we came back for the weekend. Adia was up at 8am and wanted to see Tanae. Tanae wasn't so happy to be woken so early, but she was still sweet. We went out to breakfast. Adia made a huge mess, but enjoyed oatmeal and toast. Tanae showed off her fork using skills. She looked like such a big girl. Adia got cranky so we came back to DiDi's and Adia went right down for a nap. Tanae napped too, but Adia didn't sleep long. Tanae's nap wasn't long enough either, but they still had fun together. We planned on going to Freddie's before going to the Christmas party, but before we could go to the party, Tanae's mom called and wanted Tanae back. We were sad to see her go and Adia was especially confused.

Adia had fun on Gamma and Gampa G's house. She clung to me at first, but soon opened up. I think she was a little overwhelmed by all the Christmas decorations and people. She was soon riding on Gampa G's shoulders and checking everything out. Gampa G even let her operate a train. She really enjoyed that, but I think she was a little scared of all the other trains. Around 3:30, she started to get cranky and tired again. Gamma G gave her a bottle and she fell asleep for a little while. She was ready to tear up the house when she woke up. She munched a bunch of Ritz crackers and tried some cheese. She spit most of that out though. She started to get really active and stood alone for at least 15 seconds. She only sat down when she realized what she was doing. We left at about 7 because she was getting cranky for dinner and a bath.

Adia ate an entire container of apple sweet potatoes and a bunch of cheerios for dinner. She would have probably eaten more, but she was really tired. Her bath was pretty long. She loves all the different bath toys DiDi has. Then it was PJs and some more playtime. She became obsessed with the walker. She would use it to walk, but then stand on her own and lift it. It's obvious that she could stand alone and even walk if she'd lose her fear of falling.

When she started to get cranky again, I gave her a bottle and snuggled her. She drank almost 8oz before falling asleep. I was going to let her sleep on the couch/bed thing that she takes naps on, but realized that she'd probably end up under the bed if I did that. She moves a lot in her sleep at night. I set her in the pack and play and she didn't wake up. She did wake up about a hour and a half later though. She then slept in the big bed with me until 2am. That's when DiDi took over and I didn't get her back until 7.
Adia's been pretty good today. She is terrorizing DiDi's house though. She finds everything that Tanae never noticed. Today she was all about the printer. She likes to play with the paper holder that folds up. She also went for the VCR. She seems to be too curious or smart for her own good.
I tried to feed her breakfast, but she wasn't really interested. She wouldn't eat anything but cheerios. I'm hoping she's not going on some sort of food strike. We then took a bath together. She liked lounging in my crossed legs. It's something she hasn't done in months, but loved it. I think she was really tired though. After our bath, I set her down in the living room. She headed for the walker, but when she saw me bring the couch/bed out, she headed straight for it. I think she knows that's where she takes naps. I grabbed a bottle and handed it to her. She laid down and was out before even finishing an ounce. I'm really liking how she's napping regularly now. Of course in the next couple months she's supposed to drop a nap. It seems that once you finally get used to something, it all changes.
