The lake was fun. When we got there is was overcast and not particularly warm, but within minutes, the sun came out and it got hot.

The twins loved the sand. Once again, Leia kept eating it, but Mira was happy to dig in the sand to fill a bucket. They also got their toes wet. Leia enjoyed walking in the sand, but didn't really like the water.

The girls all fell asleep on the car ride home and woke up grumpy. Adia was awful. She had a few sweet moments before she lost it again. It was nice when she finally fell asleep again.

Today I took Adia over to her preschool to register. She kept saying she didn't want to go and she didn't like school, etc, but once we were in the door and she saw her classroom, she didn't want to leave. She's a social butterfly so when she saw all the other kids, she wanted to play with all of them. I know she's going to have a blast there this fall. I just hope she doesn't have too many meltdowns. They've been especially awful lately and tough to deal with.

And yesterday, Adia wrote her name! She's been spelling it for months now, but refused to even try writing it, even though I thought she could. At the age of 3, she already has a fear of failure. She can draw the most adorable people and faces and can trace dotted lines so I knew writing her name would be easy. She recognizes the entire alphabet, upper and lower case so I didn't think it would too tough for her. She finally did it. She has a little trouble making the "A", but each time she gets better.

Beach fun love it! Not so much the sunscreen mishaps, hope that never happens again.
