Just after Christmas, Adia went to the eye doctor and picked out new glasses. Her prescription hasn't really changed, but her old frames were terrible. The lenses kept popping out and the nose pads were constantly breaking off. She picked out some fabulous pink horned rimmed frames. I was surprised she went for pink, but they absolutely, 100% fit her. I absolutely love them on her and she genuinely enjoys wearing them. It's no longer a fight to get her to wear them. And she looks so much older in them! We did learn that Adia has little to no depth perception visually. She navigates the world using other ways to distinguish depth. I found that really interesting. Her doctor said she may be developing it slower because of her lazy eye or she may never develop it. It's no really a concern because we have many other ways of figuring out depth.

The twins also had their first real eye doctor appointments. I was worried with how they'd react, but they were both awesome. Mira went first and Leia went the next week. Their eyes are perfect. They're seeing how they're supposed to see and there's no concerns at this time. It was such a relief after everything we've gone through with Adia. If you need an eye doctor for your kids, Lifetime Eye Care is awesome. Their new eye doctor was great with the girls. You could easily tell that he has a daughter their age. He knew just how to talk to them to make them at ease and willing to answer his questions.

Adia's been wanting to help do chores around the house so she offered to do the dishes. We won't talk about how I rewashed them after she went to bed... Now if only she'd pick up her toys and dirty clothes.

And I just love this picture.
