We drove to the coast on Saturday and hoped the weather would be nice. It was supposed to be rainy and windy all weekend so I made sure we had rain gear with us. We got super luck though and it was beautiful at the carnival. It was sunny, no rain and almost warm. Adia had a blast too. She went on the merry-go-round with Papa, the dragon roller coaster with Colie, the fun house with me, and the airplanes with Eck. She especially loved the bounce house and Papa was even able to get her out of it when it was time to try something new. I think Papa really does have magical powers.

She won a centipede at the duck game and while she was on the airplanes with Eck, Colie and I won her snakes. She then used the snakes to tickle her sisters and make them laugh. She also got some cotton candy. No carnival trip is complete without cotton candy. We walked around a little and found a face painting booth. Adia did well waiting in line and wanted her face painted as a kitten. After it was painted, she was pouty because she had suddenly decided she wanted Spiderman. I can't win with this child.

We did some more walking, looked at motorcycles and attempted to navigate through the crowds. Adia and I stopped in the toy store and she got a new toy. It's one of those balls with a "ferret" attached. It rolls around on its own and all 3 girls think it's the coolest thing ever.

The next day was the parade. It rained most of the morning so we thought it would rain for the parade. Once again, we were lucky. The rain stayed away for the entire parade and I even got sunburned! The girls had a great time, but since Adia was tired, she wouldn't let me get any good pictures of her. The twins loved the bands. Leia enjoyed clapping to the drums.

After the parade, we had A&W. Adia gobbled down her hot dog and 1/2 a hamburger while the twins ate 1 1/2 hamburger patties. They are bottomless pits. Mira started to get restless though. She wanted to move and confining her to a high chair wasn't cutting it. She started to do her ear piercing scream. It was awful.

We all crashed when we got back to Gramma and Papa's house and then the girls all fell asleep early for bed too. However, at about 4:30am, I woke to Leia pitter pattering on the kitchen floor! She apparently woke up and thought she could make her own bottle. At least she wasn't crying, but certainly not what I was expecting.
