Her birthday party was yesterday. She had a blast and we were all exhausted. I'm hoping Papa took some good pictures because most of mine didn't turn out very well. Super sad about that, but maybe we'll get some good ones today.
I did get a picture of her finished cake. She wanted a castle cake this year. No easy task by any means since I can't just order it. The bottom tier was vanilla (Adia's choice) and the top was chocolate. That was very time consuming, but I'm glad I did it. I think the twins will also be getting a castle cake on their birthday for the very fact I want to get as much use out of the castle pieces and cake pans I had to buy.

Adia really liked her cake. She ate about half her slice and Mira finished it off.

Then it was time for present opening. Adia made out like a bandit. She got more presents for her birthday than for Christmas. They're taking over my kitchen table right now. I don't know how they're all going to fit in her room.

When we got back home, DiDi took the twins home with her and Adia finished opening up the rest of her presents. She lucked out because her gifts from her Aunt Amy, Uncle Paul and her cousins were sitting on the porch. She absolutely loves her doctor bag and lab coat. They were the first things she played with this morning. Now she's moved on to her new Barbie movie, Strawberry Shortcake and My Little Pony toys. She can be such a girlie girl.

After Gramma and Papa left yesterday, Daddy and I took Adia to see Rango. I think it was too much for her though and she kept moving and saying she wanted to leave. When it was finally over, we headed to Build-A-Bear. She liked that part. She now has a puppy named Sunni. Our last stop was Red Robin, which proved to be a big mistake. She guzzled a bunch of milk and when her food came, she said her tummy hurt. She then gagged so we rushed towards the bathroom. Sadly, we didn't make it and she puked in the lobby. We then headed into the bathroom and she puked again in front of the sinks. That was followed by another puking bout on the toilet and floor. Adia rarely pukes so we were pretty shocked. It also means she's not so great about aiming for the toilet. I felt so bad for her. She had puke on her boots (and my shoes!) and obviously felt awful. I really felt horrible for the lady who had to clean it all up. Adia also missed out on her birthday sundae. :(
We brought her home, read her books and I snuggled with her until she fell asleep. She was so tired that she actually slept until 7:30 this morning! She never sleeps in her bed all night. I can count on 1 hand how many times she's actually done that. I was so proud of her. Hopefully she'll start a new trend.
She didn't eat her birthday pancakes today and she's been in the bathroom a couple times already too. I hope her tummy feels better soon. It's no fun to be sick on your birthday. I should know, I do it yearly.
