After setting up the tent and grabbing some food, we drove up north to get our spots for fireworks. We walked around with the girls, visited a few shops, ate ice cream and found gluten free pizza! The twins ate pizza for the first time and I think Mira ate more than Adia. She loved it. Leia mostly ate the toppings off. Daddy also bought Adia some poppers to throw on the ground. They're now Adia's new favorite thing.

Adia went a little stir crazy waiting for the fireworks to start. It got colder and colder too. She ended up snuggled with Gramma and Papa. Gramma had Leia asleep before the fireworks started. She jumped with the first bang, but slept through them. Mira and Adia saw about half the show before passing out. After that, nothing could wake them up.

Adia slept in Papa and Gramma's tent, wrapped up like a burrito. Mira and Leia slept in the same tent as Daddy and me. Leia woke up screaming at 5am and woke up everyone else. It was awful. We had a good breakfast though. Mira likes corned beef hash. Once again we were not dressed for the weather and we were freezing. I took Adia with me to take a shower, but she screamed like she was being murdered. Then, when it was time to get out, she didn't want to get out.
We attempted going to the cheese factory, but Adia had a colossal meltdown inside and I had to carry her, kicking and screaming outside, where she punched me so I ended up dragging her back to the car. The looks people gave me were unbelievable. It took her forever to calm down and by then, everyone was back and we were headed back to the campsite. Papa made BBQ chicken and corn. It was delicious. That was followed by Aunt Cindy's Pond Slime and Papa s'mores. Adia even had her own gluten free Pond Slime and graham crackers, but then told us she doesn't like melted marshmallows. That kind of defeats the purpose of s'mores.

We left the campsite pretty late and got home even later. The girls fell asleep pretty quickly, except for a couple stops to change some nasty poopy diapers. Note to self, olives on pizza should not be given to babies unless you want to see them again. Yuck. It was nice to be home. We were all exhausted. We spent a few days at home before heading to Gramma and Papa's house to avoid the heat and celebrate the twins' 1st birthday.
