Adia had her first ice cream cone a few days ago. We were able to buy gluten free cones at the store and I was so excited. I think I might have been more excited that she was. She also had no idea how she was supposed to eat it, but she figured it out without too much of a mess. I tried one of the cones today and they taste just like regular ones!
Mira's been smiling more and more. It's the sweetest sight to see. I love her dimples and the way her eyes crinkle. I'm hoping that Leia starts giving me big gummy grins soon too. Mira's also started to be awake more often and really check out her surroundings. She likes the sound of DiDi's voice and will turn her head to follow the sound. The other day she even smiled when she heard and saw DiDi come in the door. It was so sweet.

Adia keeps going from demon child to sweetheart and back again within seconds. It's so hard to judge her moods. Yesterday she slept 12 hours and was a holy terror all day. Today, she slept 11 and has been touch and go all day. I just can't win. I do like how she's been asking to go to bed, starting at 7:45p, and she's also been asking to use the potty. She really wants to go to preschool and we've told her the only way she can go is if she's potty trained.

My cousin stopped by this last weekend to meet the twins and say hi to Adia. She got here really late so Adia was already sleeping, but she was able to hold the twins. The next morning we went out to breakfast. Adia was awful and even crawled under the table and pooped. Not my finest parenting moment. The waitress thought Adia was cute though and gave her a stuffed lion. After eating, Adia got to stick her toes in the pool and hot tub. I swear, the hot tub was cooler than how she likes her baths.
I attempted taking pictures of the girls together today since it's the twin's 2 month birthday. That took some effort. Mira kept screaming and then Adia decided she didn't want to be in pictures. I can only picture it getting more difficult as they get older. Mira did start grinning for a couple of them so that was cool. Too bad Adia wouldn't give me a genuine smile.
Now Leia's asleep in the swing and Mira's cooing and smiling at me. She knows how to get my attention. She's also been a great sleeper lately. She consistently seems to sleep a 6-7 hour stretch at night and then go right back to sleep after being changed and eating. Leia, not so much. She's up every few hours and then won't go back to sleep. She's also not very good about sleeping during the day. She's just too much like Adia.
