The portraits turned out fabulous today. I had hard time getting out of the house on time, but Adia didn't fight getting her dress on. She actually seemed excited. I asked her if it was a dancing dress since that's what she normally calls dresses. She said, "No, it's a picture taking dress." I thought that was cute. She requested to take Purple with her so he came too. He didn't get in any of the picture, but he watched.
Adia was perfect during pictures. The photographer posed her and Adia stayed. She didn't complain or try to run off. She occasionally seemed a bit shy, but not too bad. She smiled for almost every shot too after some coaxing by tickles. It was so hard to pick pictures, even though I knew I was getting a cd made no matter what.

While I was picking pictures, Adia played with toys. After a few minutes, she came over to me and said, "I poopy. Change me." She most definitely had pooped. I had to finish picking out pictures before I could change her. I felt bad, but there was no other choice. All my diaper changing stuff was in the van.
Adia was more than ready to leave. We got back in the van and she climbed into the back seat and laid down. She cooperated totally to get changed and went back to throw the diaper away. Then she climbed in her seat with Purple and settled in for a long drive. We had to go back to the dealership to return the "LATCH" system they sent. In fact, it wasn't a LATCH system, but just the tethers which are not really compatible with our car. Considering we paid quite a bit for them, I was pretty ticked off last night.
Note to car buyers with children: LATCH systems CANNOT be retrofitted on vehicles. The only ones that can are some VWs and Audis. Many vehicles can be retrofitted to have anchors for tethers placed. Our new van isn't one of them. It only has two LATCH systems and 3 tether anchors. That still bothers me considering it's a 7 passenger van AND a 2007. It annoys me greatly.
Anyway, Adia and I drove back. I returned the parts and they're mailing us a check. Then it was back in the car and back home. Adia played and watched Care Bears. She was in a really good mood. Daddy got up earlier than normal and he loved seeing the pictures. Adia was obviously very tired and was asking for a bath and bed before dinner was even over. She took her bath and then played on our bed while I packed for this weekend. Then she jumped into her bed and had Daddy read some stories to her. When I joined them, we didn't end up reading many more. She was just too tired. She made sure she gave my belly plenty of hugs and kisses before she fell asleep.

All Adia could talk about before falling asleep was seeing DiDi, Gramma, Papa and Colie this weekend. She's super excited and can't wait for DiDi to ride in the new van with her.
