Mischief and Mayhem Always Follow Trouble

We just got back from the beach. Adia's taking a long nap. She fell asleep in the car. Actually, all the girls are napping. The beach takes a lot out of you. My face and head are sunburned, but Adia isn't at all. Once she kept her hat on, things were good.

Yesterday we had a picnic and Adia went on her first carousel ride. I wasn't so sure she'd like it, but she danced to the music. She wouldn't ride the horse alone even though that's how we started out. She ended up on my hip with both of us on the horse. She cuddled up like a monkey.





She did lots of running around with the girls and several face plants. She managed to skin both knees. One time she landed face first in the dirt and when I picked her up, she had mud on her forehead! Lara took a picture and I hope to get a copy of it soon.



After the park, we went back to Lara's for a BBQ. Adia climbed in the sandbox after she saw Jake do it. After dinner the girls all used the slide and then it was three in the tub.









Today's beach adventure was fun too. Adia enjoyed the snack bar Lara set up. Actually, all the kids did. Then we headed down to the water. Adia wasn't too happy about the water part. She got her feet wet a couple times and then wanted me to hold her. When I asked her if she wanted to get down, she'd shake her head and say, "no!" Then we went back to the grassy area and let the kids run around. Adia ended up chasing pigeons with a couple other kids. Then it was munchies and time to go.
